Karen O’Reilly is the owner and esthetician of Skin Theory. As an Illinois State Board Licensed Esthetician, NCEA Certified National Esthetician and Certified Acne Specialist, her greatest reward is seeing both a physical and emotional transformation when a client’s skin is healthy and clear.

Karen pursued her esthetics studies with The International Skin Beauty Academy, NCEA, Face Reality Acne Clinic, DMK International. MBK Cultivate Skin & Nutrition Wellness and Vivant University, where she studied the methods of Dr. James Fulton, a renowned acne specialist and developer of several gold standard skincare products, including RetinA. She has received advanced certification in acne and skin revision, She holds a Acne Specialist certification with Face Reality Acne Clinic, a Master Esthetic certificate with NCEA, and Skin Revision certification from DMK.

Karen received her Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University, attended Salzburg College in Salzburg, Austria for international studies and worked in the pharmaceutical industry prior to her esthetics career.

She lives in Glen Ellyn, IL with her husband and two children. She loves running and her new puppy, Cody.

Viviana Rodriguez
Lead Esthetician/Acne Specialist

Viviana is a Licensed Esthetician and certified acne specialist who grew up and currently resides in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago with her son, Cam. She attended G Skin & Beauty Institute for her esthetics studies and then pursued advance training, receiving Acne Specialist certification with Face Reality Acne Clinic and Skin Revision certification from DMK International.

As someone who previously suffered from acne and cleared at Skin Theory, Viviana finds a special connection with acne clients as she understands what they are going through. Her treatment philosophy is to keep it simple yet effective. Viviana’s biggest satisfaction as an esthetician is seeing her clients' skin transform and seeing their confidence grow because of it.

Viviana holds advanced certifications in progressive and mid-depth peels, dermaplaning, collagen induction and lash lift and she is a master brow & makeup artist. She holds a degree from Robert Morris College. Prior to esthetics, she was in the culinary arts field.

renee blew
esthetician/acne specialist

Renee is a licensed esthetician and certified Acne Specialist. Drawn to esthetics from her own experience with teenage and adult acne, and her own clearing through the Skin Theory program, Renee decided to make a career switch and follow her passion for skin care. Helping clients achieve clear skin is her biggest joy. 

She received her esthetics training from the G Skin & Beauty Institute. She then pursued advanced studies and received her Acne Specialist certification with Face Reality Acne Clinic.  Renee also holds advanced certification in dermaplaning and received skin revision specialist certification from DMK International along with mid-depth peels, collagen induction and brow shaping. She holds a B.A. degree from Northern Illinois University.

Renee lives in Glen Ellyn with her husband, Greg, and their twins, Mollie and Jacob.  She loves traveling, going to the beach, seeing broadway plays and trying new restaurants.

RachaeL CiprA
esthetician/acne specialist

Rachael is a licensed esthetician and certified Acne Specialist.  Esthetics for her combines her passion for skincare and helping others. She loves seeing not only a change in a client’s skin when working with them but in their confidence as well. Rachael received her esthetics training from the G Skin & Beauty Institute. She then pursued advance training receiving her Acne Specialist Certification with Face Reality Acne Clinic and received her skin revision certification with DMK International. She also has advanced training in progressive & mid-depth peels, dermaplanning and loves brow shaping. Prior to esthetics, she was in the hospitality industry for 14 years and attended The College of DuPage for physical therapy.

Rachael lives in Downers Grove. She loves working out, strength training and being outdoors.

Kristy KIEfer
Clinic CoORDINATOR

Kristy is one of our lead Clinic Coordinators at Skin Theory balancing taking calls, appointments, product order requests, managing our daily schedule while coordinating our employee schedules (no easy task!).

Kristy spent many years in massage therapy and is skilled in both client interaction and management and loves working with clients and keeping our clinic running smoothly. She is a bright spirit that brings joy to Skin Theory daily.
